Meet the Team

What is Biokinetics?
Biokinetics is the science of movement.

A Biokineticist is a clinical exercise specialist who works in partnership with healthcare professionals and is recognized and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

As a healthcare professional, biokineticists specialize in the field of exercise and movement science to promote physical well-being and prevent or manage various health conditions. Biokinetics involves the assessment and prescription of physical activity, exercise, and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs.

Biokineticists work with people of all ages and fitness levels, including those with chronic diseases, injuries, or disabilities. They aim to improve overall health, functional capacity, and quality of life through the use of specific exercise interventions. These professionals often collaborate with other healthcare practitioners, such as physiotherapists, physicians, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for their clients.

The role of a biokineticist may include conducting assessments, designing personalized exercise programs, monitoring progress, and providing education on lifestyle modifications.

The goal is to enhance physical fitness, prevent injuries, and contribute to the holistic well-being of individuals.
